Laptop trouble

Laptop has been giving the merry ‘blue screen of death’ every couple of days for the past couple of weeks, but has always recovered up till now. Not yesterday. 🙁

Hoping it’s just memory problems. as the shop’s first tests suggest, but may not find out for a couple of days. In the meantime, expect erratic service from yours truly.

Everything is on that machine, of course: books, email, the lot. Last backup was a couple weeks back, so may not be a total disaster if it’s more serious. But not helpful to have this happen on the day before I was originally scheduled to go to Sydney…
