Book-chapter on Viable Services Model
Just heard from itSMF (IT Services Management Forum – the people who promote ITIL beyond its UK Government roots) that they’ve accepted my proposal for a chapter in their upcoming IT Services Best Practices book.
Basic theme for the chapter is on how to adapt Stafford Beer’s ‘Viable System Model’ to the IT-services context, as a ‘Viable Services Model’. Some of the detail on this is available already in some of the PDF-Powerpoints on the Tetradian website [sorry, can’t do links on this webmail-based system whilst I’m travelling], but there’ll be quite a bit more in the chapter, especially some case-studies on how I’ve used the model with some of my Australian clients.
More later, anyway.
